An invitation from Father Luke and the community at Llanelli to a pan-Orthodox pilgrimage to Llanthony Priory near Abergavenny (NP7 7NN) on
Saturday 4th March.
It is the site of one of St David’s monastic cells. Services will take place in the chapel
next to the ruins. Please arrive by 10am and the liturgy will begin shortly after. The vespers service will be
mid-afternoon from approximately 3pm.
There is a pub next to the Priory ruins for a drink after the liturgy,
although usually we take a picnic lunch.
The picture isn’t of Llanthony Priory, but of “New Llanthony Abbey” at Capel-y-ffin.
Thank you – we have taken the liberty of publicising this on the Father Ignatius Memorial Trust Facebook page, together with a picture of the Priory. I hope to be able to attend in the afternoon.
Best wishes,
Dr Peter Davies
Secretary, Father Ignatius Memorial Trust
